What a marvelous speech Jennifer had. Well done!
As a mother of two, I agree that women are actually have a better position of managing multitasks, cooperating with team members, but needing more support in workplace so that they are able to juggle around with work and family more easily.
Women also should to be treated equally and respectfully in this diverse society.

Inspired to hear Jennifer See’s talk! Women’s role in leadership positions in our society often involves a complexity of issues. If we can break through our traditional mode of thinking and behaviour in this regard, our society will greatly benefit from women’s contribution to decision-making. Well done, Jennifer!
Women and Talent by Mukta | The 10/12/2010
Well said Jennifer. In today's era of Talent Crunch, putting constraints on the growth of women talent can be quite detrimental to orgnanisations who are looking towards a sustainable future.

I couldn’t agree more with Jennifer. In today world women have more challenges than before. They not only have to take care of their family but also to work. Sometimes they don’t have enough support and equal opportunity. However, just like Jennifer’s Chinese wisdom, where there is a will there is a way.
Diversity is growth by Julia Russell | The 10/13/2010
I agree Jennifer that women do bring a different dimension to the workplace and for women there seems to be a bigger conflict of interest striking that balance between work and home. There is a wonderful book called The Sexual Paradox by Susan Pinker, which explores the gender difference and underlying reasons for the differences. Those differences should be celebrated as a way of growth and moving forwards for an organisation.
support shall be provided for women by hsiuping | The 10/13/2010
many women with excellent work performance in TW are forced to stop their career progression once they have family and children. some even give up thier job and be full-time housewives.
it's a pity that the world misses such talents; hence, women need support for equal opportunities in organizations.
Support for Women by Lu Zou | The 10/15/2010
As a male reader and a father of two, I respect what Jennifer said and has achieved. Good performance, Jennifer.
People often say, "Behind a successful man, there is always a great woman." Personally, I reckon it is true. However, women need extra support from their families, the communities and society to achieve their goals, as they make greater effort, under more pressure and sacrifice more to be successful with their work performances.
Retaining and nurturing talented women by Cassandra Lister | The 10/15/2010
The financial services industry is still very male-dominated, especially at executive management level. My observation (after 20 years in the industry) is that, one of the main issues is, retention. As Jennifer stated, employers need to create an environment that is conducive to women in their 30-40's staying in the workforce after they've had their offspring. Whether this is flexible work hours, a shortened work week, working remotely, or other, it is achievable as long as managers are open-minded and empower their talented female workforce.
Women in the Financial Market by Valerie Lee | The 10/21/2010
Today, women represent signifcant changes in the world of finance, through being a target market for financial product & servies and as key employees in financial insititutions. I think those companies that can promote their women staffs fast enough to reflect this change are in a much better position to success in their business ventures.

Really appreciated with Jennifer for her approach for this important issue. As a member of the management in the financial business, which has been facing worldwide criticism since the recent economic crisis, Jennifer has put forward her brilliant analysis to surely help us for a better understanding of the women’s role in the leadership of all business and for a better decision-making in the financial business as well.

Women at Work by Joelian | The 10/31/2010
Quite agree with Jennifer. The corporate world would be a better place where women co-workers' perspectives and opionions are more appreciated and taken into decision-making process. In addition to the corporate culture and promotion for gender diversity, the broader society bears the same responsiblity in educating women to develop themselves as equal rather than subordinate to men. It will help reduce the drop-out rate once women have family and kids. In Asian culture, such eqality concept is yet to be further pursued. Women's ability to take care of family and work is a great asset to corporates in tackling multiple issues and subjects at the same time. Salute to SG in promoting women's role in finance! Salute to Jennifer who have set a great example of woman leadership at work! Salute to working moms!
