9% of 18/65 year-olds are illiterate*. Illiteracy affects over 3 million people in France. Aware that basic skills are essential to finding employment, Société Générale’s Solidarity Foundation is committed to helping those in difficulty acquire literacy skills.

It acts on two levels: the Foundation supports basic skills workshops and trains trainers and disseminates best practice.
