Youth community assistance

Devoting time to the community

The aim of Unis-Cité Méditerranée is to bring together young people (aged 18 to 25) from different backgrounds to work together for six to nine-month periods on community projects in associations, retirement homes, hospitals, etc. “It was during my first job working with children from difficult backgrounds that I realised that I wanted to do more and to work in special education”. Ségolène, Unis-Cité Méditerranée volunteer in 2008.

Integration through ecology

ARES Services has allowed 350 job seekers in the Paris region to gain work experience and benefit from personalised social support. In 2008, ARES started working with an ecological car washing company - SINEO – to set up a new activity that consists of cleaning vehicles without water and that only uses 100% biodegradable products. The Foundation supports this partnership that has created twenty jobs.

Youth support and mentoring

Mentoring talented youngsters (with good baccalaureat grades) from modest backgrounds.

This programme offers youngsters moral support, helps them to improve their study skills and gives them a better chance of finding a job. “We are convinced of the benefit of this partnership. Thanks to the Foundation’s support we have been able to mentor an extra 20 youngsters.
