An authentic approach to musical expression

The aim of Les Concerts de Poche (pocket concerts) is to create local concerts, either in small towns and villages or in intimate venues in larger towns and cities, renewing an authentic approach to musical expression: big concerts in small, warm and convivial venues, for a public not necessarily acquainted with classical music.  They propose living music, short concerts from the classic repertoire, given by experienced and committed artistes, for a lower price than a cinema ticket. Les Concerts de Poche pull out all the stops to reach all publics.

Each concert features a brief presentation to create complicity between the artistes, the works and the public. Les Concerts de Poche are dedicated to proposing awareness raising actions for schools and associations, as well as conservatoires or music schools, on the request of directors and teachers.

Finally, the public and the artistes really get to know each other over complementary drinks offered by les Concerts de Poche after every concert.

In the same vein as the “livre de poche” (paperback book) concept, the Concert de Poche wants to move beyond pomp and decorum to rediscover the authenticity and simplicity required for musical expression.
